Westinghouse Progressive Series Water Filters

numbered-circle-1  High Microporosity Granular Activated Carbon

High Microporosity Granular Activated Carbon filtration media has a very large surface area for superb adsorption of volatile organic compounds, trihalomethanes, and chlorine.

numbered-circle-1  BlackCat® Ion Exchange Media

BlackCat® ion exchange media is a proprietary engineered synthetic resin that is made up of small beads that are electrically charged to attract positively charged ions from your water. This stage removes undesirable hardness ions and reduces clear water iron.

numbered-circle-1  Bacteriostat 55

Bacteriostat 55 is a patented media that controls scale, bacteria, fungi and algae. Some harmful contaminants are changed into harmless components. Free chlorine, for instance, is changed into benign, water-soluble chloride.

numbered-circle-1  Garnet Filtration Media

Garnet Filtration Media is a water clarifier and 20 micron sediment filter. It also enhances the surface area of the lower distributor reducing water channeling as water flows downward through the refiner.
